Vending Machines are Here

The library now has vending machines available on the main floor near the restrooms across from the adult fiction collection.  The vending machines have a variety of snacks, candy bars, and drinks.  Be on the lookout for the Cozy Corner Cafe coming soon in September, which will also offer a coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar!

Library Closed on July 4th

The Library will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.  We will reopen on Saturday, July 5th at 9 a.m.

Remember that the library is now open on Sundays throughout the year from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.

The library will be closed on Monday, May 26 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.  The library will be open on Sunday, May 25 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 27 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., resuming normal hours.

Celebrate Children's Book Week - May 12-18

Children's Book Week has been celebrated nationally in libraries, schools, bookstores, clubs - any place there are children and books - since 1919!  Founded on the idea that children's books change lives, we take this opportunity to celebrate the amazing choices we have in books that teach, inspire, make us laugh, and leave a lifelong impact.

P.J. Storytime - "Icky Sticky Stories"
Thursday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m.
For children who are toddlers through first-graders and their parents or caregivers.
Families are invited to this special evening storytime that will feature fun stories and songs about all things yuck!  Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal.  Advanced in-person registration is required for this program.

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of National Library Week

This year marks the 50th anniversary of National Library Week, a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities nationwide -- and the perfect time to discover how much the Wauconda Area Library has to offer!
